PSP Runnin, Need Help with Games

Hello Everyone, well i got my psp cracked from a friend of a friends, and im loving it, but now, i got a couple of questions so i decided to try and do some research and get this my self.
1.) my system info says 3.40 oe-a, but my friend says theres 3.10 out now. is that true and if so do i need to upgrade it to that ver to play some games? and if i did it my self is there anychance of me "bricking" or screwing my Psp?
2.)so now i've downloaded torrents of games for my psp but some wont work. when i get the files as rar. files i extract them but what do i do with multiple files and where do i put it? im using PS3gui. and when i transfer it over to my psp. it logs as corrupted data.

any help would be greatly appreciated!! thanks

1. You don realize 3.10 is LOWER than 3.40?

2. When you extract with WinRAR, you will usually get .iso or .cso file. Just place them in the ISO foldre in memory stick. What you have done is probably extracted the iso file.
