I am having a strange "bootup issue" with my PSP. We'll call it "funky issue"... Story goes like this.... FYI... this is a used PSP, out of warranty

Original FW was at 3.01... Everything functions... except for this "funky issue"...

If you do a cold boot.. you see and hear the Sony screen then it goes on to the Background Wave screen and just stays there - indefinetly. However, if you have a UMD in and cold boot it... comes up just fine. I know not a big deal... But...

So I did a little more troubleshooting....I took out the UMD and with a small screwdriver I depressed the UMD detection switch and booted up... same issue, just get a wave screen. But as soon as you release the UMD detection switch.... wolla... your in...

So I thought, let me go ahead and back it off to FW 1.50, hell might just fix the "funky issue"... So I upgrade to 3.03 then backed it off to 1.50... Not a problem!! Same "Funky Issue"..

Any ideas?
