Depends on the problems.

Spybot search and destroy
Adaware

AVG and Kaspersky have trial versions of their antivirus programs.

Bleeping computer has some self help guides for some problems.

i have all sorts of problems which makes the computer slow, sometimes it freezes etc..

Listen to them :)

Also, if you don't have an antivirus or a firewall, consider (actually don't consider, just do it) getting one. Personally, I use Avira AntiVir Free Edition and Comodo firewall Pro.
