OK. Ive Downloaded a PS2 Game torrent. i've extracted it. Ive got a single image file that has the files for the game. so what do i do to get it on a DVD so it will play correctly

DVD Decrypter (http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk) is an excellent choice if you're looking for free burning software.

The process of burning PS2 backups w/ DVD Decrypter is as follows:

1. Insert blank DVD into drive
2. Open DVD Decrypter
3. Mode->ISO->Write
4. Browse to image file
5. Set Write Speed to 4x OR half the speed of the disc (16x -> 8x)
6. Click on Hard Drive->DVD picture to begin burning

i've completed the above instructions, and lo and behold......PS2 still wont play it. says insert PS2 disk. anyone have any ideas?

Are you using a MOD Chip or SwapMagic to load your copy?

You have to have some modifications for the PS2 to be able to play backup copies of games. Read all the sticky threads at the top of the forums, that should help you decide which you method you want to choose. From my understanding for the older fat PS2, the most popluar methods are either a modchip or for those who want the less technical route you can get SwapMagic and make or buy a slide tool. For the slim PS2 it's pretty much the same thing. Either ModChip it or what I and many others use, MagicKeys (or other tape and tissue, etc mods) and the SwapMagic discs.

Spend sometime reading up (especially the sticky threads) and you'll familiarize yourself in no time!
