i (wouldn't let me post this the first time) /i

I burn on a low speed, using InstantCopy, as otherwise I'll get fails all over the place
i All percentages refer to quantities of minimum 25 blanks. /i
I've only started using the DVD-r types recently, so would have less data available on them.

From experiences we have the following;

Arita 4X DVD+R 97% success rate (DVD+)
Arita 2.4X DVD+R 98% success rate (DVD+)
ZeroDefex (brown top) 99% success rate (DVD+)
ZeroDefex (blue top) 95% success rate (DVD+)
Ritek Branded 4.7g DVD+R (4X) Overprints 95% success rate
Datasafe RITEK 4x DVD+R (no quantified data yet)

FWS <60% success rate (DVD-)
BULKPAQ "ORANGE" 4x 4.7GB DVD-R <70% success rate (DVD-)
New 4X Princo Inkjet Printable DVD-R 80% success rate (DVD-)
MEMOREX 4x 4.7GB DVD-R (no quantified data yet)

The DVD's I liked best are ZeroDefex (brown top) as I was able to burn at a higher speed with these ones with good results, unfortunately I have no supply of these available so I tend to use the Arita ones, mostly.

Perhaps someone could reply back with their experiences with media in the SONY DRU-500ax.

Also, has anyone determined if the burn speed's recommended on the media are the speeds to use or not, my experiences are that if I use a higher speed I'll get more coasters.
I'm not entirely sure what the low speed setting is on Instantcopy, I'm presuming it's 2x as it takes approx 40minutes to burn a full DVD.

Anyway any helpful comments or additions would be great.

I havn't burnt many of each type, so the numbers are a little skewed. I believe that I can track some of these failures (except the Hypermedia) down to something I did. I have had the drive drop down to a lower speed while burning, but have not encountered an issue during playback that I can trace to speed.

Most of these are G01 or G02, except the Riteks, and are 2x unless noted...
