I am receiving the following error message when trying to back-up The Terminal. I have tried ripping with DVD Shrink and DVD Fab but I keep getting this error each time I try to burn. I am using Maxell DVD-R discs and I have never had a problem before. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check your manufacturers website to see if there is a firmware update available for this drive...I think it is a cyberhome, but it seems to be a pretty obscure drive with little support and information.

It says Maxell on the package, but Prodisc makes 'em...a good rule of thumb is to look for Made In Japan on the label somewhere with Verbatim being the exception and the suggestion.

Is this the entire log? I really need to see the rest of it please...

If I need to update my firmware, why would this error just be occuring now? I have not had this issue before with this drive which I have had for about a year and a half? As for the discs I am using, I have used this successfully, until now, for the same 18 month period. Could this just be a bad batch?

80-90% of problems burning come down to firmware and media. You have a drive which is showing little or no support via firmware updates and media that is known to be dodgy. You may have just got lucky in the past with this combo. The rest of the log would be helpful as there is more information to be revealed that may also be leading to your problems.

I ripped the DVD one more time, this time with DVD Decrypter. And then burned with ISO Image Burn through Decrypter and it worked. Why would this way be successful and the others were not? Sorry but I do not have the rest of the error log.

Without something to compare the apples to the oranges I would have no sure way of telling.

Congrats on the success though and happy burning.

EDIT: One thing I missed the first go round though...

This means that your discs aren't being seen correctly...there should be more than just zeroes here.
