Hey all,
Need to find very specific information to perhaps work on a solution for the ban hammer.

Please post if you restored your original firmware prior to the spring update, kept your original firmware after the update (didn't re-flash), and weather or not you were banned.

Please only this specific info...
The theory is: That returning to original firmware before the spring update and NOT re-flashing after the update, will keep one from being banned.

If that is true, then it WAS the sping update that enabled MS to detect either the modified firmware or backup games (the latter more likely). I have searched through posts and gathered as much info as I could...but the more specific the info...the better chance as a solution...

Flashing the original firmware sounds like a good idea..





Better to be safe than sorry.. you could always flash the hacked firmware again later.

The problem is, that list doesn't specify if anyone switched the firmware back to the original before the spring update...and stayed with the original. Every statistic is available EXCEPT that one. Right now that seems to be the only possible way to avoid a ban...but I need people who've done this to post weather or not it was successful.So please...if you've restored your original firmware, then installed the spring update and stayed with the original firmware...please post your status...
Thanks...this info could save countless people from being banned....

after looking over that chart it seems that all drives have been targeted except for the MS28 with X52 firmware. granted they have been banned, but they are the only drive/firmware combo that has not been banned more than it has been banned.
