Dgen sega emu freezes on firmware 3.40 oe

I dont know if anyone else has this kind of problem but when i load up the rom on dgen on my psp, it freezes and stays on now loading. But after a couple of seconds, the psp either restarts or turn off. I've been wanting to play sega genesis on my psp using the latest firmware but i guess it doesnt work. Anybody else has this kind of problem? Also before you ask, i tried using all different versions of the dgen emulator. Any suggestions i should try?

you probelly already did, but jus incase you dont know are you changing the game folder kernal firmeware to match the emulator version when in recovery menu

Well its under 1.50 kernel, and i saved the 2 dgen (Which is 1.5) folder into the game150 folder. The emu opens up, but it freezes and turns off after a load a rom.

I had the same problem and was EXTREMELY frustrated until....

I changed the rom extension to .smd from .gen. Apparently Dgen doesn't like .gen or zipped .gen files...

Hope it helps...
