I used avidemux to cut out some short clips of various AVI files. Now I would like to "paste" the clips together to form one large AVI file. Someone in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/506262#3057407 suggested VSO, which is a fine burner/converter, but when you add multiple files, it doesn't create one AVI or even paste the clips together at all. It just converts the avi's individually. The other suggestion was for an mp4 converter. There has to be something out there that will turn seperate AVI files into one. I don't need to burn anything or change file types at all.

Most freeware solutions fail because the AVI files to be joined have to be identical.

Use Super© to convert the AVI files to identical format.
Drag all of the original files onto the window.
Select 'Output Container' and select the video features.
Note my settings, they may not be yours.
Click 'Encode..' to create new files.
(right click on the window to see/select the output path)

AVI-MUX GUI will take the new files and merge them.
Drag the new files onto the window.
Highlight them, click 'generate data source..'
Click 'Start' to output a merged file.

Super© converts everything (almost)

Thanks, very much. My only problem now is if one of the clips has audio that is slightly off, it throws off the audio for all the clips following it. I know it's a completely separate issue, but if there's any way to fix (line up the words with the lips) audio on AVI files, I would love to know. Thanks again.

Drag one file on to AVI-MUX GUI, highlight it and 'Generate Data Source from Files)

In the lower window' highlight the audio and if anything other than zero appears to the right under 'Delay (ms), select "start" and in a minute or two you'll have a new file to use.

Good luck.
