Soft modding a blank harddrive?

I have a 160Gb harddrive (western digital)could i just out the hardrive on my computer then Take EvoX and copy and paste the files to it then hook it up to the xbox and start modding?

Well first off we need to know if your box is hard moded or soft moded to get you going in the right direction. If the box is soft moded you need to lock that new hard drive with the box's original eeprom code..

Thats the Problem not exactly sure. I had a guy Mod it in Taiwain cause my dad was going there. it looks like this

that black thing in the pic is what i remember seeing in the xbox i havnt looked in a while

BTW it had EVO-X on it before the drive Died

Ah! so you need some sort of pc prog to make fatx partitions to that new drive so that the box can reconize it.. and from there find what ever dash you want to run and install it accordingly.. but just windows alone cant do it ...

But you need to know if that box is chiped or soft moded first off

So get a Program to make fatx partitions.(#Xbins)
then get an auto installer then run it on my box is that correct?

I forgot the portitions to make do you remember the names (C drive ect.)

Well an auto installer will work only if the box chiped .. do you know for sure if it is ?

Sorry but I did not get that picture but if you feel confident that it is in deed chiped then get your self an auto installer disk put your hdd in then your disc and a way you go.. good luck
