Hi,

I have a question, I have a Pioneer A104 Burner (no updated firmware) and a Panasonic DMR-E50 DVD Recorder. Now i know my 104 will only burn at 1x or 2x speed, as for the Pana Recorder???.

My question is can i use 4x Media in both machines?

Any help would be appreciated.

The Pioneer A104 is 2x burner, Pioneer said you have to have latest firmware to use the 4x media (but burn at 2x), or the burner will be damaged.

The Panasonic DMR-E50 is a stand alone unit which will run at real time 1x. By using 4x (more expensive) you won't get the benefit.
