hi recently i bought a new hard drive cause my old sata one started clicking which i am led to beleive that it is losing sectors,so i bought a new hard drive took it home instaled winxp no bother then the next problem started it would struggle to boot past the winxp logo ,so i reformated everything and tryed puting a partition in instead but it still does that same then windows stopped reconizing it was there so i took the hard drive back to the shop to get it swaped they checked it on there machine it was reconized no probs but any way got a new one and it`s still happening it sometimes boots then the next time it doesnt hope some one can help please really getting anoyed.could it be stat drivers i`m strugling to find them, my spec is


motherboard is a gigabyte 700vt600p-rz
amd sepron 2600+
768 mb ram
winxp
160gig sata hard drive

maybe your motherboard is failing.
