can someone give me a quick rundown on what the swap process is.. i had an ms25 samsung.. wasnt working... now i bought a ms28 samsung...

i guess i just put it in and do one flash... no reading.. ?? just flash it with my original firmware...

now my only problem is that do i report it as an ms28 or ms25 ??

thanks...
just wanna double check before i go ahead

I just did this myself it has to be your original firmware or report as such. I just did this recently for someone it was a samsung drive ms09 t (very old firmware ). It would give an error 66 with a ms28 firmware flashed to it (with the key correctly placed), and also with the original ms09 firmware of the new drive. So what I did was just flashed with the exact same firmware and it worked fine or you can do it with an extreme firmware reporting as a ms25. Hope that helps.
