help needed with dbox2 recording to pc

I am having problems connecting my dbox to my pc for recording to hard drive and for streaming media from my pc. i am able to FTP into my dbox but my dbox2 cant seem to detect my pc. i have commando 8 image on dbox and have xp home edition on pc.

Any simple guide will be much appreciated.
