Command& Conquer Red Alert 2 hard to backup m8? This game is old school and is Safedisc 2.0 cd protected. Try BlindWrite Suite or CloneCD to make a working backup m8. There are sticky threads (highlighted in blue) as you enter the CD-R forum on how to backup Safedisc cd protection. C&C Generals: Zero Hour is much tougher to backup m8 (Safedisc 2.9.x).

Did you enable fast error skip in thr read process m8. The first part of the cd (about 3%) is Safedisc cd protected so once you get past that= smooth sailing. Burn RAW DAO at 8x.
