My hitachi is connected and recoognized by my computer. What do I do? What programs? What firmware? What files? Where do I download them?

Read the stickies. No one here can give you a direct download link to any firmware, that's illegal. Search google. Do some research.

You need C4E extreme 2.4 for your hitachi. That's the name of the firmware. I CAN tell you that.
