Im just wondering how to unlock the xboxs HDD with just your pc

is your xbox softmodded, hardmodded, or stock? if it is softmodded you can unlock it by getting the eeprom and using xbox hdm. if its hardmodded i think theres some selection in your dash or sumthin like that to unlock it. if it is stock you have to do a hotswap.

Not true. You can recover the precious eeprom files by performing a raw dump of the board. You can make a custom reader for the leads on the motherboard, then go thru the lines of code and get the unlock key. Not so simple, yet oh so satisfying once you learn to do it.
