i just wanted to start a thread so i could see what mods people could do.just post mods you have done to your ps2 and hopefully a tutorial:)
to start i just wanted to say i installed an internal hard drive externally about an hour ago.if you want a tutorial ask............looking forward to seeing to what you people can do!

Whaat do you mean by mods?

But i think i did a pretty cool PS2 modifying. This is how it works:

I boot swap magic 3.8, which boots uLaunchELF from my PSP (if it's set) then i can just acssess my HDLoader,emulators,or media player in the push of a button. All on my 160 GB HDD.

cool. by mods i mean anything that the ps2 wasnt made with or wast made to do. any mods would be fine from software to case modding and so on.

that makes no sense at all? Did you take an internal drive and put it into an external enclosure to use with a slimline (the only reason i can see for doing it in the first place really)

My mods are below in my sig.
V12 PSTwo slimline with an HD Combo case (dual fans) and internal 250GB hard drive. DMS4 Pro modchip and Summone laser fix. All running through a component cable upgrade for better picture quality. Also a nice alien skin on the console and controllers from Decalgirl.com.
What more could a person need.

I could also list some mods that you can do that i did not.
1. install all sorts of memory card exploits like SMS media player
2. set up and FTP server between the PS2 and PC to transfer files back and forth with something like faplink or ExcelFTP.
3. you can install cases of all kinds
4. skins of all kinds
5. LED lights in the console or controller

Now that i have my shiny new PS3, i want to modify my PS2 V7 (Fat). I hav'nt done any mods on it but want to get HDD and set it up to play Back-up's, Any tips greatly appreciated, ive already done some searching on AD already but need a little help on fitting HDD.

Crystal Chip V2.0 and a hard drive will set you up. The rest you can do after that.

the reason i in stalled my hd externally on my v9 ps2 is because it was incompatable because it wouldnt fit so i wired it in from the outside so its a perfect fit for and hd

mossey all you need for the hd is a network adapter and a hd. if you cant launch elfs then get hd loader for the hd or swap magic to launch elfs or play backups or put a modchip in.
