PS2 FFXI Dat Swapping

I've been a member of the dat swapping community for the pc version of FFXI for some time now, but many of us always wanted to try dat swapping on the PS2 version of Final Fantasy XI.

My question is there any guides and/or programs accomplish this feat?

Several people mentioned that an exploited PS2 is required, is this done thro something like this? If not which method would be best?

Both my PS2 and HDD are unmodded and original, i would prefer a method that does not require a mod chip if possible.

For me dat modding the the PS2 version of FFXI has been the Holy Grail, i wont give up till i find a way.
