Hi, Im planning on buying swap magic for my PS2 Slimline. The version i have is the SCPH-70012. I want to know what tool i should get to be able to play games and have my lid closed at the same time. I'd rather not buy swap magic just to have the disc spinning and getting all that dust in my ps2.Also what would i need to play burned ps1,sega, snes games and such is it just swap magic 3? Thanks your opinions are greatly appretiated ^_^

Edit: By the way im thinking about this one http://allmodchip.com/PS2_Swap_Magic_38_...op_p_16193.html

If you want that kind of thing, just get an inferior modchip or HDLoader. i do not know if it is possible.

As for the emulators, go to the city backup forum they have a guide there.

Just do a tissue/tape mod if you're going to do the Swap Magic route with a slimline PS2. You can play your backed-up games or imports while the lid is closed unlike using the magic keys you purchase on allmodchip.com. As for playing PS1 games, use something like Breaker Pro. As for Sega, SNES and etc... you basically make an ISO of the emulator you want to use so your PS2 can read it kind of like how the SNES Station is set up.

He could also mod the system with AR Max Evo and cdloader.elf. As cdloader does not require you to use eject you can permanently diable all the sensors allowing you to close the lid. I don't use Swap Magic, if you already have it and it can load elf files then you could use it to load cdloader. But I have never had a problem with the Ar Max method.
