As far as the recent threads Ive read on the battle between Blueray and HD DVD. I want to let you guys know the truth about the technology. Yes the Blueray disc holds 50 GB and the HD DVD holds 30 GB. The only problem is were the media is more advanced than the televisions that are displaying it. The Blueray disc does infact play in 1080 Progressive and HD DVD plays in 1080 Integrated. NO HDTV and I mean NO!!! HDTV shows true 1080 Progressive. You lose signal quality through cables and all tv companies ie, Sony Samsung, Sharp all have different panels or different graphic engines to drive the HD pictures. The human eye picture and framerate view for an average human is slower than 4 microseconds, you ask why I say this? the picture quality you squeeze between those microseconds cant even be seen. Not only is Blueray not compatible with any burner past the first 2 layers of its 8, its stupidly large amounts of useless picture frames makes it stupidly hard to back up especially since packing a terrabyte of backup memory laying around was unheard of untill just recently. The HD DVD however is using a little bit higher rez and frames per second that allows the human eyes to capture amazing picture without killing 20 extra GB's of uselessness. I find it funny how PS3 has been spoken of as be all end all when its systems are not compatible its media information discs arent compatible with anything it wastes hardrive space and non of its games are in 1080 Progressive anyways. I say this because I unfortunately regret buying a machine that looks like a George foreman grill. Its shading and texture shaders seem too boxy especially in the Motor Sports games. 1080 Progressive is an amazing thing but it is so unnessesary think about this when you a buy an HDTV or when sony comes out with a new 1080 Progressive tv. Sharp and samsung are the only makers of LCD panels in the world so your getting a samsung panel in a sony tv and the sony graphics engines are not up to spec as their next gen system should have been

Replying to the last comment yeah you cant display 1080p its scientifically proven not that it matters the human eye can see the difference anyways. LMAO and I say LMAO light heartedly its not an opinion if I wanted to state an opinion I would have said that it was an opinion I know more about HDTV's than you do dont challenge it ok when you can tell me the differential ratio between the x axis transistor sets than you can tell me it was an opinion
