i am wondering if anyone can help, i just bought a new ps2 and someone told me instead of chipping it i can use a swap magic pro disc
where do u get it from and does it really work better then the chip, your help would be most appreciated

You can get it over the internet. Personally i think a chip works better but its all up to your preference.

the only advantage of swap magic is that anyone can install it and it dousnt brake ur warent seal but a chip is 100x better.

agree with above, a GOOD mod chip has many advantages over Swap Magic such as the following:
1. no swapping
2. no rebuilding some games
3. can play both PAL and NTSC flawless without any screen cut off issues
4. can play DVD9 (dual layer) back ups (DMS4 Pro SE), or others you just patch it with Toxic DL Patcher and it will play them.
5. some have built in cheat devices, auto patching for online play, or support for running internal hard drives with no other software needed (DMS4 Pro SE has the cheat device & built in HDD support, Crystal Chip V2.0 has the auto patching and you can get program for the chip to run HDD)
6. with an modchip and internal hard drive you can do away with having to use about 90% of your discs completly

I am sure there are other things i am forgetting.
