Toxic Cheat Device Problem

i have a DMS4 SE Pro modchip with toxicos 0.41 and when i use the cheat device on it some games it works fine on but when i try to use them on The Godfather or Black i just get a black screen when i boot the disc i have tryed usein differnt codes like gameshark ARMax Codebreaker and they all do the same thing
