good luck fixing that one. It is usually a major hardware failure.
Did the ban and the 3 red rings (red ring of death aka rrod) happen at the exact same time, Like you were banned from live and it immediatly went to that, or was there time inbetween.

Are they Hitachis or Samsungs? I know of 2 banned Samsung drive 360s that are working just fine except for not being able to access Live.

Did you reflash your drive back to the original firmware? OR try flashing the drive with a newer modded version?

I doubt the 3 lights has anything to do with the live ban. You probably just got really bad luck and got owned twice in a row sad to say :(

what he said, 3 red lights = hardware failure, getting banned will in fact have no effect on your system. ms don't want you to play online with backups not break your system intentionally(although it wouldn't surprise me...haha)

see the thing is no one knows what MS can and can't do. There were reports when the 360 first came out and people were finding hacks that MS could, through your Xbox Live connection, fry one of the chips on the motherboard if they detected the hack being used at the time. Now that is what i call hardware failure.

And what would they have to lose. You only have two choices.
1. not wasting all the money and time you spend getting your game collection together and go buy a new 360. (MS Wins)
2. Get pissed off, hate MS, and go buy a Wii or PS3 (no real huge lose to MS as big as they are)
