Problem with converting PSX Game to EBOOT

I was trying to convert Skullmonkeys to a EBOOT so that i could play it on my psp. But when trying to start the game it goes black after the Playstation bootscreen. I can go through the menus with the Home button and shut the game down. I took the KEYS.BIN from another game since PSX2PSP 1.2 doesn't make one. Also checked in worpad if the Keys.bin file contained the same text as another keys.bin and it did. Does it matter what keys.bin i use? Do i even have to use it?
