Pioneer VSX-3800 receiver overheats!

After playing my receiver,hooked up thru Satellite,and usually on Sirius music station,it overheats after a few hours.I read another thread about matching speaker ohms to receiver,and will make sure ohms match.I bought some JVC and Emerson bookshelf speakers at Thrift shop for $2.99 each and have spares.We usually play outside on covered Deck here in SoCal.,so moisture is nonexistent!Anybody got this receiver or any suggestions?
