I was trying to install my fliptop cover for swap magic, but when I tried to insert the reset/eject button, I accidentally pulled it out from my PS2. Is there any possible way to fix this?

Yeah, I pulled out the ribbon.

That guide requires me to unscrew even more of my PS2. I've heard it's possible to insert the ribbon without going that far into your PS2.

How is that done?

yes, i attached mine without taking off anything but the top of the case. I dis the exact same thing with my first fliptop install, LOL. I had no idea the lid was linked to the mainboard with a ribbon.

holding the PS2 with the front of the unit facing you, right side up. Look to the left side of the DVD drive. Under it you will see another ribbon that looks like the one that came out only fatter.
right next to that will be a tiny slot that the power/eject ribbon goes in. you can just slide it back in there.

if u lift the disk drive up slightly you can see more and i find it easy to put the cables back in with some small ended pliers
