Does anyone have an in-depth knowledge of the hardware of Nokia Dboxs?
I bought a faulty one for a project to repair (i have a lot of free time at work and I'm not afraid to use a soldering iron!).
The problem is, it doesn't do much when you turn it on - there is power going in, as the LCD does light up (if you view it from the right angle) and if you push power + up the screen "resets".
I've poked about a bit and from what i can tell some "clever" person has tried to put a new tuner on it, and screwed it up a bit. The voltages on the PCB are present and correct from what i can tell, but at least one pin on the tuner is not connected properly.
If the tuner was partially connected in this way would it give the fault I have, or is there more for me to find?
Personally I would have expected it still to boot up if it was just the tuner disconnected...
