Use gamecube action replay max on Wii?

Hi,

My son went to use his gamecube action replay max on his Wii, catridge installed in slot B with controller in number 1 slot but when he popped the action replay max disc in the Wii didn't recognise it.

Is there a fix for this or will it only work with the gamcube and we'll have to buy some new action replay thing for the Wii?

Hope someone can help. Thanks.
