Been using my Jtag kit a while now.Had problems flashing black boxes with the figure 7 on the chip beside the pins.Then discovered that the red box TSOP file works on these boxes.Hope this is of help to someone.

But does it not become a Red box then? There are two different chipsets on the Black MaxV one is Omega and the other is Intel and there is two different methods to use as there is a sector lock on the chipset you described and so you need a different method. SkyMax will work with Omega, Jkeys with the correct bin file is needed for Intel. And then you can load the latest Black TSOP and firmware.

Scouser,
Don't fully understand what you said but the boxes I described do become red boxes then.Have used the Jkeys program with the "7" boxes I described and they remain black boxes.Does the Jkeys program work with all boxes.
Still can't destinguish between the different boxes except for the "7" on the chip.

I have a Eurovox 2007 (RED BOX) with the January software that it first came with.
Is it possible for me to load the latest KURO software, which has the the latest menus and true widescreen.
Could anyone tell me if this is possible and how to do it?

I am looking to buy some Eurovox Maxes, can any one suggest who is a cheap, safe and reliable person to buy some Eurovoxes from?
Are there are issues with cloned Eurovoxes?

its just that when i do a powerscan it jumps from 323 to 427 and misses loads out.
also 427 isnt listed on here.

you will get the KURO beta file out of my list just D/L on the box them browse for the oggnogg cdf u download onto your pc and press the bottom download button it will flash in 3 sec

Just loaded the software now. Only probelm is that channels such as E4 FILM 4 are all display no signal.
Do i have to restore factory default then scan again for them to work?

Signal strength is 93%.
Before i loaded the new software i had 85% whihc was normal.
Now i loaded the onctober image i have freezing and unclear pictures the channels i mentioned.
