May be alright. If you have a genuine box with version 4 or a clone box with 2.57eE fixed you should not have these problems. Also I was talking to another guy today and a factory reset fixed it for him.
Failing that a signal booster might be required.
Thats me I have to head hope you get it sorted.

cheers m8, I am using the Starview 2 the box with 4.51, but I will def do a factory reset and see how it goes and if that doesnt stop it I will check out a suitable signal booster.
I dont think they was able to clone 'the box'when I purchased it.

Hi gang just in from work .... the box is playing up again, its showing"bad or scrambled channel" but this time its going every 3-4 minutes the kids arent happy, i believe it was playing up earlier, any suggestions?

Factory reset has seemed to improve signal and epg I have stuck on extra 4db sig amp to tv line.

Kmac do you mind if i ask you a question you are in Ireland of the Uk as you know the box firmware v4.51 is for the Uk market and the v4 50 is for the Irish market just checking you have the correct one on your box ok let me know thanks

It will work on chor*s cable but not chor*s mmds.
U may have to fiddle around a bit with the symbol rates for it though

The ordinary ntl signal is ok again in Waterford but when i turn the starview back on i only get about 10 channels. Any ideas ??????????

Try this:
1 Press Menu
2 Factory settings
3 type in code ( 0000)
4 press ok. this will delete channels.
5 Installation
6 Change provider (Eg n*L etc)to which ever one used in your area.
7 autoscan ( when it says *** channels found , exit back out all the way until u are back at the scrambled/no signal 'tv' screen)
8 Hit menu again
9 Type 1570
11 new screen appears , change EMU to on
Exit to view. You will have to re-sort your channels/favs but worth a go. If this still does not work turn off you box from the back switch for a minute and then autoscan again, may sure you have the correct provider selected and key emu is on.
