Been reading alot of the banned threads, keeping up to date and trying not to get banned myself (yet..lol)

Many many people have come up with hundreds of ideas as to how or why people are getting caught, but the most probable (to me that is) is probably one of the simplest....

Like any pc based dvd-rom drive, any time you cange the region default or firmware it clocks it on a counter. (as far as I know no way of getting round this). All m$ would have to do is simply write 2 lines of code that checks for the change on the counter periodically.

This would also support the fact that they never repair the dvd-rom unit if sent for repair, only replace and give it new id.

Any thoughts on this? (especially mikeismad....)
