Windows wont recognise my Hitachi 46

Got drive into modeB ok (onboard sata) with slax cd eject takes 2 presses then opens again etc. restarted pc with xbox still on ejected a few times while booting and no sign of the drive in windows?.. im guessing it should be working ok as the drive is def going into modeB.. just cant get it to show in windows after the restart

(The PC is a dell dimension)

Also tried with a VIA SATA 6421 pci card. Installed drivers etc but this wont get the drive to modeB.. Tried a different driver set with this card and slax wouldnt boot to the login screen so no modeB

...any ideas what to try guys?

buy ur self the satat to usb converter .
and if ur sure ur in mode b wellif u aint then get the connectivity kit v2
