Updated firmware for Audiovox DT85?

I just recently bought an Audiovox DT85 portable DVD player that supports the following formats: DVD, VCD, CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R and MP3 Discs.

I would like to also play the unsupported DVD+R media on it. I would think that making the player DVD+R compatible would be as simple as upgrading the DT85's firmware. However, I cannot seem to find any DT85 firmware on the internet. In the past I have upgraded DVD player firmware to play DVD+R/-R on my older Panasonic DVD player. I would like to avoid copying all my DVD+R to DVD-R media if at all possible.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
