ripping 2.35:1 movies with DVD2SVCD

HI all,

I'm trying to rip DVD movies with a 2.35:1 aspect ratio using the DVD2SVCD software. I know this might've been explored in this forum before, but someone might have better ideas now.
First of all, is DVD2SVCD better for ripping than doing the thing by yourself using DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc?
Second, what should I do differently in DVD2SVCD for 2.35:1 DVDs than I'd do for 16:9 movies?
