I'm not actually banned as such, but I do have modified firmware, and I've avoided Live since the bans.

Is there a way to download Xbox live Arcade games off Newsgroups or some other source, burn them to a DVD, and install them onto your Xbox 360 without every having to go on Live?

I want the new Prince of Persia game big time.

cheers and thanks.

Maybe the trial versus, but the full games are tied to the console that downloaded them. To play the full versions on a different console you'd have to be connected Live with the gamertag that bought them. I don't think anyone would donate their gamertag for that.

dont know about that one but you can now get demos from the marketplace and burn them to a dvd and play them so im sure you probably can. check torrent sites and see if you can find them anywhere.

Too bad there isn't some way you can download the full versions to a disc.

Where do you download the demo's from though?

There is also the Xbox Live Arcade Unplugged disc. Its a compilation of some of the earlier releases on XBL Arcade, sold in stores, so you could play a backup.
