i have a Nokia dbox1 cable.i am happy with just fhe freeview channels
but cannot pick up bbc 3 and 4

also it comes up as crd(scrambled) on itv 4 and bbc parliament

can anyone help?

Do a nit only scan via the default frequency of your area.

hi i have tried this and still cannot pick up bbc 3 and 4

and itv4 and bbc parl are still encrypted


i can pick them up with a dbox 2.any more ideas?

Download the services.xml from your dbox2, check the frequency for the missing channels and do a scan via the tuner menue.
Menue button (green or blue) -> 6
Press 1 and type the first 4 digits of the frequency.
Press 3 and type 06887 or 06952.
Press 9 for search. Press ok and select which action you want.

On your dbox2 are the channels FTA should be a little key symbol on most images in the lower right corner, if it is lit up then the channel is locked. Here in Ireland it is odd which channels are FTA and which are not, e.g. the "national stations" are RTE 1 & 2, RTE 1 is FTA but RTE2 is not.
I have also found that on images like blade which can take up to 15mins before channels come in on the initial flash, that if I change to a FTA channels and then to an encrypted on it seems to comes in much faster.

Ok, next try.
Switch to the working bbc3 channel at your dbox2.
Press red and then blue. You see the used frequency at the left side of the screen.
Use the first 4 digits for the tuner menue scan at your dbox1.
You can leave the screen at your dbox2 via the home button at your remote.

BBC is not encrypted.
If looks like there is a problem with the signal strength.

It depends if the signal is too strong or too weak.
Compare the numbers at the bottom of the tuner menue for some channels.

i can get all channels on dbox2,so do u think it
could be a week signal

bbc 3,4,parliament and itv4 come up with crd when selected

In some areas that channels are two or three times in the channel list and only one of them is working.
That is the reason why I wrote above you should find the frequency for a working channel via your dbox2 and the technical information.
