Hey guys. I have been thinking alot lately about buying a PSP, and after reading lots on this forum I learned a lot. I am going to try to buy either a 1.5 or 3.40oe-a PSP off ebay. I have a couple questions though.

What is the best way to get the most memory for the card slot for the cheapest cost? Should I just buy the official psp memory sticks, or is there a cheaper offbrand? Or what about those duo converters? I really dont know what memory I should get, but I would like to get somewhere between 8-16 gigs for as cheap as possible. I dont mind if I have to have 8 seperate cards, just as long as I can get the memory at a decent price.

Also I was wondering if anyone knows how much space roughly an average UMD backup stored onto a card takes?

And my last question I've looked all over for but can't seem to find the answer. If a person has a 3.40oe-a PSP, how do you convert it back to 1.5 if you chose to?

Thanks in advance, hope to be a proud PSP owner soon!

1) You don't not want to buy fake brands...also I wouldn't recommend ebay, I would try a discount store like buy.com

2) A UMD backup cant be anywhere from 8mb(smallest ive seen) to 1.8gb(max a UMD can hold) .. it really just depends on the game you are talking about.

3)To go back to 1.5 you can use this easy installer

So non-fake 4 gig Memory Stick Duo Pro's would be the best bang for my buck then? What brands are recommended that are most compatable?

Sandisk or Sony. They also do have an 8gb memory stick duo but it's overpriced unless you got lots of cash to fork over.

Anyone have any experience using the Dragon double expand memory converter with SD cards at all? Is it just as stable as memory sticks, or do they have more issues? Thanks

The memory converter works like a charm, but I think the highest capacity you can have is a 4 gig maybe a 2, but you can fit two sd cards in.

Can it run 2x 4gb sd cards at once, for a total of 8 gb?
