I've found this website and seems to be listing modchips for a few quid cheaper than the rest. Has anyone had any experience with them? What was the service like? etc...
Thanks

Well, I decided to chance it. Big mistake. Anyway, as soon as I decided to order, I changed my mind about what I wanted to get, so I emailed the account where I received my invoice from. I also emailed the paypal email address. When I got no reply, I thought fair enough maybe he doesn't check those accounts. I then emailed his customer support on the website, no reply. I waited about 4 days. I then emailed the customer support email found on his paypal account (different address), no reply there.
I had waited more than a week, no chip, no reply. I then opened a support ticket on paypal, I then received a message from him via paypal. Telling me that his terms and conditions on the site say that he will reply when he gets the chance, and will dispatch the item asap, as he sends out "15000" items a day. I don't know how he expects me to believe that, as Amazon probably sends out thousands a day, but can still reply. And no one has even heard of the site. Besides, he had no terms and conditions on his site (which I should have noticed anyway). I then escalated the claim to paypal. Paypal said that if they do not receive a reply from the seller, they will decide in my favour. No reply, so I got my money back luckily.
He also owns a site called: http://www.phone-gadgets.co.uk which is shown on his paypal account. There is another website I saw on his paypal very briefly, I'm angry that I can't remember what it is, but the template of that website is the same as 360chip.
Please note, that a whois of the website 360chip.co.uk comes up with the owners name, which is Jason Rose.

He also seems to have google bombed his website, just type in his url without the www. and you can see his website is everywhere.
If you don't want to get scammed STAY AWAY FROM 360CHIP AND ANY SITE THAT IS REGISTERED TO A JASON ROSE.

I don't know about the google bomb, even if I type in the URL of the website google shows, it just redirects to 360chip, so I'm guessing he just registered those domains.

Just to let every one know that Jason Rose also has a shop on eBay. His user ID is proxybid4u.
I won a firewall router auction. He then tells me he has sold out of the model I orderded and offered a different one. I told him I did not want it (it was much bigger, used about 40 watts more power, and would cost about £180 year more to get it supported). He told me that he had sent a replacement, and when I asked when he told me it was the one I told him I did not want. So far I have not received anything from him, and if he sent it when he claims that was over 10 days ago. I have not received any tracking information from him.
As I have received nothing and he does not respond to emails I left negative feedback and raised a dispute with paypal. Paypal are investigating the matter.
Jason Rose also has another website www.phone-gadgets.co.uk. I'm sorry if this has already been mentioned.
I myself would rather walk on hot coals in bare feet than order any thing from Jason Rose again. I'll leave the readers to make their own minds up.

It would seem that Jason Rose is not happy about me "LINKING" him to 360chip.co.uk and leaving "bad" feedback on eBay
He says that I must revoke my "bad" feedback and my posts here before he will look into it. He also says that as I am a **** I will have to wait.
What do the people here think?
Should I remove a post that just informs people of trouble I'm having with Jason Rose, lists a website in his name, and his ID on ebay.
Should I remove "bad" feedback I left that lets others know that I have not received the item I won and paid for.
My opinion is that the feedback and the posts here let others know what my experience in buying an item from Jason Rose has been like.
This enables the readers to make their own judgement.

I'm very glad to hear that you got your money back.
I'll update this thread over the next week to let people know what is happening.
If I do not get a refund then I will be taking legal action. I've been getting advice on this today. I hope the matter will be resolved without court action. Trading standards have also asked me to let them know what happens.
At present Mr Rose is asking me to return the unit he claims he sent and then he will refund, minus the postage costs. I cannot return the item as I have never received it, or any other item from him.
He is also saying again I must remove my negative feedback. I will not do that.
Mr Rose has also said that he will take things further if I continue to ignore his requests. I have told him to go ahead and take things further.
If other people have had problems with Jason Rose and one of his sites or eBay shop(s) I would ask that you post details here. If you do not want to do that then please PM me here.
I'm new to this forum so if what I've suggested breaks forum rules then I'm sorry and please let me know.
If we have a more complete picture of what has happened then I can forward that to paypal, eBay, and trading standards.

Paypal have decided to refund the transaction. They did this after I chased them up. Mr Rose never provided the tracker details to paypal or myself.
Mr Rose has left negative feedback for me on eBay, which I have answered. I will not be withdrawing my negative feedback for Mr Rose (proxybid4u on eBay) as I hope it serves as a warning to other buyers.
If you have bought anything from one of Mr Rose's websites or his eBay ID proxybid4u and are having problems then raise a dispute with paypal and escalate it to a claim. If he does not provide proof of delivery to paypal then they will refund the transaction upto the limit set by their protection program. You will need to make sure you keep in regular contact with paypal during the dispute
If you buy from his eBay ID proxybid4u make sure you attempt to communicate with him on eBay using the eBay messages. Make sure you keep the copies eBay sends to your email. If he gets abusive in his replies, as he did with me, then report him to eBay. I have already reported him to eBay for the abusive messages he has sent to me.
Keep chasing up paypal. I think there is a time frame that the seller must provide proof of sending and/or delivery in. If Mr Rose does not meet that then once chased paypal may issue a refund. If the dispute is raised quick enough, i.e. as soon a you become worried, then paypal may be able to hold on to your payment so they do not have any trouble getting it back.
If you think he has sent you the wrong item then if possible check the contents of the package before accepting delivery. This may or may not be possible depending on the courier used. If he does send you the wrong item I recomend talking to trading standards as well as paypal. Trading standards will be able to advise on what steps to take. I have informed the trading standards for Gloucester about Mr Rose an would suggest you take it up with them. If you bought the item from Mr Rose's eBay ID proxybid4u then you should also report him to eBay regarding his seller performance.
Paypal are not so good if he sends the wrong item as you are required to pay the return postage to him, and that will not be refunded. That's why I suggest having a chat with trading stanards as well.
You may be able to chargeback the transaction to paypal, but you should speak to whoever provides your card and paypal about that.
Just a reminder that Mr Jason Rose has many UK websites and at least one ebay ID, proxybid4u. His UK websites, so far, are:
360chip.co.uk
phone-gadgets.co.uk
consoleparadise.co.uk
dnsname.co.uk
gadgetbuddy.co.uk
notforwomen.co.uk
templatebank.co.uk
I hope this post helps as a warning about Mr Jason Rose, his eBay ID proxybid4u, and his various websites.
Rob.
