hey i have updated my psp from 3.01 to 3.40 and i would like to know, how do i play my downloaded ISO's on my psp..... any help would be appreciated......

You can't. You basicly screwed yourself. You need custom firmware 3.40 to play isos. Now you have to wait until they come out with a downgrader. Next time do some research before you upgrade.
