3.11 downgrader or Mod-Chip?

I have a 3.11 PSP with a TA-082 mobo...should i wait for the downgrader which i have been waiting for the past month or should i get a modchip because there is this shop just a couple of blocks away from my house the owner (just became friends yesterday) says that he can help me install a modchip which will allow homebrew but what if the takes my mobo and install a fake mobo because i will have to wait for 3 days than i can collect back my PSP..so wait for downgrader or modchip?

so should wait for downgrade or let him mod for me..i not sure if there is such a thing called fake mobo..because i am scared than he might change my mobo to a fake one..

wait it out. it will save you a couple of bucks if it doesnt come out in th next month then go mod it.
