Hey i just burned my first VCD and i got a question can you you only play it on your computer that has a DVD-Rom drive? Can you play it on a normal DVD player?? I tried it and it won't work can someone please help me out

You are not alone. I have just copied my first VCD from DVD and it will only play on a PC with DVD or a PC with a fast CDROM drive. My TVs DVD refuses to recognise it (it can read VCD).

So if you get any help, pls copy it to me

Did you try another brand of CD-R?

Is your DVD player CD-R and CD-RW compatibel
or just CD-RW?

VCD has to be 100% OK to be played in a DVD player. Did you make a MPEG VCD or a CD-I compatible CD?

And also, always burn your VCDs with 4x or less -- I burn all my VCDs using 1x just to be sure. And remember to "finalize" (in Nero) or "close" (in EZCD) your CDs, otherwise they wont work. At all.

Just a quick question. From what I'm understanding. If I download mpeg files from Morpheus or something and burn them on a CD-RW I'll be able to watch them on my X-box right? Cause I just got done burning one tonight and it says that it doesn't recognize the CD type, I think I messed up and burnt an XVCD by mistake thought, is that the problem?

What I've understood, XBox doesn't support VCD format.
