I'm trying to install this software which I've downloaded off Torrent site. Download is successful but when I try to install it says " Install can't continue until I close all open aplications"
then it says "open application, Internet explorer"
I have absloutley no application open not even internet explorer, what am I doing wrong?

Possibly a corrupt installation file.
Or, go to Adobe and get their clean uninstall tool and try using that. Then reinstall CS3.

This works wonders, by the way, there is also an option 3 and an option 4 as far as a cleaning level goes, 4 wipes out all associated Adobe products and Macromedia Flash as well, so use with caution, you'll have to reinstall everything after. Good luck, hope this helps.

You probably still have internet explorer running in your system processes, if you are using windows xp ctrl+alt+del, click on the processes tab , and find >>>iexplore.exe<<<, click on it and highlight it , then click END PROCESS,

dont mistake >>explorer.exe<< for the on you need to stop >>iexplore.exe<<

try the installer again it should work, without the ie error.

You could restart your pc that would also kill the iexplore.exe process
