I am a newbie to burning DVD movies and unfortunately I am having some problems when burning to my DVD R discs with VSO. I can successfully burn to my DVD RW disc but unfortunately my DVD player will not play these. I have used Nero vision 4 and this burns fine - but unfortunately i am always left with a audio - picture sync problem. VSO seems to correct the audio Sync problem however I cannot play them on my DVD player. But they play fine on my brothers.

Does anybody know whether this may be a problem in the settings? The only other difference apart from being DVD R & DVD RW is the RW disc is 4x whereas the DVD R is 8x. Any help would be appreciated. I have pasted a copy of the info log below. You will note at the top the various write errors.

What type of disk plays on which player is often a coin-flip.

CMC media is not well regarded at Afterdawn.
Media packaging that says 'Made in Japan' or 'Verbatim' and burned at 4x max is preferred.

If your burner is an internal, IDE burner, it should say 'DMA' or 'Ultra DMA'

Run Nero Info Tool, 'Configuration' and verify that DMA is on.
