I used DVD2SVCD to convert a movie. It was 102 minutes. I ended up with 2 files 798mb and 823mb. Is that normal? They would quite fit on 2 80 minute cdrs. Shouldn,t 160 minutes (80 x2) be enough? It the bitrate tab it says 2 cds for that size movie. What am I doing wrong? Should I change it to 3 discs next time. And would that be the case for all movies that size? Is there a formula to know what length movie will be x amount of mb and how many discs to use? Also I want to do my next movie, a different one. Should I get rid of the first movie files and which ones? Or will DVD2SVCD do that for me? The movie folder in DVD2SVCD contains alot of info from the first movie. Please help?

I dont use DVD2SVCD much since i prefer AVI files myself but if i recall correctly they output MPEG files? If so, then 798MB and 832MB is more than fine. SVCDs go all the way to 840MB so you'll be fine.

For SVCDs not reeeeaaallly. In general through you can get about 60 minutes of SVCD on a 700CDR and 70 minutes of VCD on a 700CDR.

Well I have tried with multipule movies, and unless its just over 800 it gets an error. Even if I use overburn. So I guess the solution is just put it on three when you start getting into these sizes.

SVCDs can hit up to 840MB dude! But that isnt the restricting factor... that restriction is how long the segments are... like i said before... they should be ~50-60 minutes apiece.

Given the movie is 102minutes, you will need at least 2 CDRs. Which is what you seem to have (798MB and 823MB). Everything is normal! Just burn away and you are set (remember to burn slow).
