DVD to MPEG for work

At work, we are trying to copy portions of a DVD to use in a formal presentation to drive a point home. What is out there we can use to copy a DVD to our computer to break down certain chapters and/or portions of chapters to use in something like PowerPoint?

DVDx is a free program that can rip it then convert it into mpeg1, mpeg2, or divx I believe.
Get it at labdv.com/dvdx/

Then you can use any movie editing software to get the video u need. Make sure you are using the latest version of PP tho, since older versions don't allow video playback from within a presentation.
