I haven't bought an XBOX 360 but tell me if I am correct with this. All you have to do is buy this, connect it to your 360, never open your 360, and you can play backups?

The 360 needs to be opened to install the Blaster. And once installed, the 360 will still need to be flashed to play backups.

The Blaster is only good for not having to open the 360 (except for installing it) to flash the drive and it can also allows the drive to be more easily used to create backups.

The problem with this is that newly refined firmwares are not as common as in the past. So the need for a Blaster to reflash with doesn't outweigh the cost of it. Especially when a 360 can be opened in under 5 minutes.

And as for using it to create backups, it'd be cheaper and alot less hassle to just buy a samsung sh-d162c or 163a pc drive.
