How do I view old sessions on a CD-R

I've got Windows XP and a CD-R with two data sessions on it. However, I cannot access the original session's files on my XP computers.

But, when I go on certain computers with Windows '98, I can access the first session but not the second.

What do I need to do to access the original session on my CD-R?
