Hey, I'm new here so my appologies if I am not following protocol here.

I read this thread: [url=http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/28050][/url] and found that the member has a problem similar to my own.

I'm trying to install my original copy of the game onto my ASUS F3JP notebook and I'm running into trouble when it comes time to insert the second disc.

The first disc works fine and goes as it does on my desktop PC< which works perfectly. But when promoted to insert the second disc, the notebook fails to read the disc at all. It just sits and spins every now and then @ 38% (speech.big) and does nothing at all.

So, I made a backup of the disc using Nero and at that same point, I insert that and it does about the next 15% or so (to get to around 52%) before I'm prompted with an error 1335 cabfile2.cab (or something) is corrupt and it cannot finish installing the game.

Now this is *MY* original copy of the game...but I'm not sure of what to do. The solutions found in the older thread are 4 years old and Alcohol 120% (to my knowledge) doesn't work with Vista, which is the OS running on the notebook.

ANy suggestions at all?
