I start by going to DVD Shrink and hitting open disk. It bypasses the 30 second quick analyzing mode and goes straight to analysing the DVD. At 14% it stops. The thing is i have burned the dvd before and it has worked fine. SO i try to get another copy because i already deleted it from my HD and now this crap starts. Im using Sony DVD-R and the dvd im trying to shrink is Borat. The fact that i have shrunk the dvd before and it works fine is confusing me. Please help me!

Check the back of the disc for any dirt, smudges, scratches etc. Try cleaning it off with something non abrasive.

If the disc has any imperfections (may or may not be able to see w/ your eye) Shrink might not be able to rip it. Give another ripper a try then - DVDFab HD Decrypter.
Rip to your hard drive then open those files with Shrink.
